Babcock is a pioneer of Digital Radio Mondiale™ (DRM™), the digital broadcasting system for bands below 30MHz (long, medium and short wave). The system has been developed by the DRM Consortium, the leading international organisation in radio markets worldwide.
DRM offers a world of new opportunities for broadcasters:
- Interference and fade free digital quality audio for AM broadcasting on existing AM frequencies and bandwidth allocations
- Same-signal distribution of digital information, multimedia and channel data
- The availability of a new generation of broadcast receivers.
We currently transmit programming via DRM for multiple broadcasters, and as a founding member of the DRM Consortium, we are working towards the adoption of DRM in the international radio markets.
